A MAN was jailed after pleading guilty to stealing a quad bike from a farm in County Durham.

Liam Robson, of Westfield Way, Dormanstown, admitted taking the property from the farm in Daddry Shield, in Weardale.

Robson pleaded guilty when he appeared at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.

The 21-year-old  had stolen the King quad bike, valued at £3,000, on January 6.

He was jailed for 12 weeks and told to pay £85 in costs and a victim surcharge of £115.
