A MAN is set to appear in court this morning after an armed police incident in Darlington on Saturday night.
Davide Sardu, 42, of Bondgate, Darlington was arrested and charged after a 'disturbance' in Darlington where a man had been seen wielding a knife.
Policer attended Bondgate Tavern where the incident took place at around 6pm.
Sardu was arrested a short time later and has since been charged with a section 4 public order, possession of a bladed article in a public place and obstructing a police officer.
Sardu will appear at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court this morning (Monday).

Reports suggested the incident was centred around the area of Bondgate Mini Market and Kebab Grill, although police are yet to confirm the full circumstances.
