POLICE are “extremely concerned” for the welfare of a missing 32-year-old man from Scarborough and have issued an urgent appeal to help find him.

Officers say Jason Conway, from Scarborough, was last seen leaving the Royal Tandoori restaurant on Queen Street in Scarborough at around 9pm on Saturday January 1.

Mr Conway has been described as being around 6 foot tall, of medium build with light brown short hair.

According to police he has a distinctive tattoo on his arm and is believed to be wearing light grey trousers, a long black coat and dark brown boots.

For immediate sightings, police have asked the public to contact 999 or call 101 with any other information which could help to locate Jason, and quote reference number 12220001036
