One user said that “This is honestly the best food and service I have had in my 21 years on this planet! I decided on the chilli dog with a side of Mac n cheese (via waitress recommendation) and honestly have never smiled at a plate of food after the first bite as much as I did here.”

This Indian restaurant serves some of the best food around, with brilliant curries and fantastic homemade naan breads.  

With top marks across the board for food, service and value, Viraji is definitely not one to miss and even has vegan options too.

One user said: “We had a wonderful meal! There was a good range of vegan and vegetarian options and the staff were very knowledgeable about the menu. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and the food was delicious. We will definitely be returning.”

Tia’s is a brilliant rated Mexican restaurant that serves enchiladas, chimichangas, fajitas and much more.  

With prices starting at £6 the restaurant is affordable and if you fancy a strong drink, there’s plenty of cocktails to chose from 

One user said: “The enchiladas were wonderful and you would never know its vegan cheese! The vegetable skewers were deliciously grilled to perfection and the starters were so tasty too. The service was 100% and if we go back to Durham will definitely go back like a shot!! And also, the price was so reasonable, and cocktails too!”

Nadon Thai Durham

This Thai restaurant has brilliant marks across the board for food, service and value, with options for vegetarian, vegan and gluten free too.

The staff at Nadon are great too with reviewers saying they’re friendly and will answer all questions too.
