TWO North Yorkshire hockey teams are celebrating after beating off the competition to reach the finals.
Two Ripon Grammar School hockey teams have reached the prestigious North East and Yorkshire schools' finals.

The schools under 14s team enjoyed a series of wins, culminating in a penalty finish allowing them to qualify first place for the England Hockey School Girls' regional area finals, set to be held in December.
Coach Siobhan Gilfillan said: "The girls held their nerve to qualify in first place.”
Captain Evelyn described her tight knit team as "amazing."

Ripon Grammar School's under 16s team also managed to secure a place in the tier three North East and Yorkshire area finals on November 30.
