The incident happened at around 12.45pm where officers arrested a woman on Baxtergate in Whitby.

She was found carrying a significant amount of cannabis which was reportedly seized, along with various items from a search of her home address.

Police say the woman was released under investigation following questions while enquiries continue.

Known drug dealing “hot spots” were targeted and fresh information and intelligence were gathered throughout the day, according to police, to support the effort to tackle “drug-related crime.”
