A DARLINGTON pet store has reopened to the public after a major revamp - with a brand new offering for pet owners.
Pets at Home on the Darlington Retail Park reopened has this week after a huge overhaul saw the addition of a new pet grooming salon.
The store, which has seen its areas undergo a refit including the animal village and fish area, has been trading on the retail park for years.
Kev Whitfield, store manager at Pets at Home in Darlington, said that the team could not wait to welcome customers back after it was temporarily closed.
He said: “We can’t wait to welcome our customers and their pets into our revamped pet care centre and to introduce them to our new services.
“We really do offer everything you need to keep pets happy, healthy and safe, all under one roof.
"Whether it’s help with fitting a new winter jacket, or accessing our grooming services, our team are always on hand to offer expert pet care advice, support and guidance.”
The revamped store now includes a grooming salon, The Groom Room which operates across other North East sites.
Bosses say that customers will be able to treat their dogs to full grooms, spa treatments, puppy grooming, bath, brush and blow-dry as well as nail clipping.
Meanwhile for those who prefer to bathe their own pets, the store features its own self-wash station.
The store opens between 9am and 8pm on Monday to Friday, 9am to 7pm on Saturday and 10.30am to 4.30pm on Sunday.
