NORTH Yorkshire police are appealing for information after recovering a jewellery box that was allegedly stolen in a Scarborough theft.

Police are hoping the owner of the jewellery box will recognise it and come forward with information.

Officers are also appealing for information as to anyone who has been a victim of burglary, even incidents that happened several years ago, and believe any of the items could be yours?

A spokesperson for force said: “If you recognise any of the items pictured, or if you have any information that could help the investigation, please email James.Temple@northyorkshire.police.uk.
