AVIATION enthusiasts will be given the full flight experience in Darlington next month.

Virtual flying business SimFly will bring its Boeing 737-800 cockpit flight simulator to the town and provides the opportunity for people of all ages to experience what its like to fly a plane.

Organiser Stuart Ellerton has a history in aviation and has long had a desire to open his own business.

“This is the first type of business to come to Darlington of this nature," he said. "We will be open for birthdays, other celebrations, college students, those who have always wanted to have a go at flying a commercial airliner, the fun flyer and more serious pilot looking to use the simulator as a training resource.

"Aesthetically we have created two rooms for the full experience. Firstly, our clients will 'check-in' in our airport lounge just like they would at a real airport. The lounge has been made to look just like a real airport departures area.

"Following this we will show our clients through to the simulator room, which is an incredible experience in itself. This room has been fitted with original parts from a Boeing 737, internal side panels and windows, overhead lockers, original passenger seating for family members to watch the flight on two huge tv screens, and of course, the Boeing 737-800 flight simulator."

The simulator will open from November 15 at 63 Branksome Terrace. "We have tried to make the entire experience as real as it gets," Stuart added.
