DATA specialist Seriös Group is aiming to triple its workforce in the next five years.

The company has established its headquarters in the heart of Newcastle city centre and now says it will exceed initial growth targets.

The business, which only formed in February 2020, now employs 16 staff. Its previous scale up strategy to expand its headcount to 30 within five years has now been adjusted to upwards of 50 as it continues an impressive growth trajectory.

Managing director Paul Davison, said: “Businesses increasingly realise the value of data that enables them to make informed decisions on everything from productivity gains and cost savings to reducing their environmental impact and ensuring an effective supply chain.

“Seriös Group has made a huge leap forward and is on track to exceed our original growth estimates, and that is largely down to the fact that we understand what our customers wish to achieve.

“Just a year ago we gathered our four-strong team in a Newcastle hotel to hold a ‘town hall’ meeting. Twelve months on, we hired the same room and welcomed a staff of 16 – which underlines our growth.

“We are really keen to play a part in skills retention for the area and offer the talented and creative graduates coming out of the city’s universities with an opportunity to stay in Newcastle.”
