SUSPECTED cannabis and cocaine have been seized after a drugs warrant was executed by police.

Middlesbrough Neighbourhood officers alongside colleagues from the North East Regional Special Operations Unit and National Crime Agency executed a warrant this morning on Bishopton Road, Middlesbrough.

Suspected cannabis and cocaine was seized and cash was also recovered.

A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B drugs, conspiracy to supply class A drugs and possession of criminal property. He remains in police custody at this time.

Temporary Sergeant Carl Lawson, from Middlesbrough Neighbourhood Team, said: “We will act on any information which comes to us, and will work alongside our partners to take drugs off the streets of Middlesbrough in order to make our communities a better place to live for residents who have to put up with the associated misery which drugs activity brings.
