POLICE have recovered suspected class B drugs after a joint operation.

Yesterday Wednesday, October, 20 officers from the Eston Neighbourhood Policing team carried out a joint operation with NERSOU (North East Regional Special Operations Unit) and NCA (National Crime Agency) to recover suspected drugs.

The drugs warrant was carried out at a property on South Terrace, in South Bank.

Officers recovered a quantity of suspected Class B drugs.

One woman aged 41 was arrested and has been released under investigation. Enquiries are ongoing.

Police Constable Rob Heseltine said: “Drugs cause nothing but misery to the people living in our area. This warrant was executed as a result of information supplied to us. We will always look to take positive action which improves lives for local residents and takes away the misery which is caused by dealing drugs and associated crime.

“Anyone who may have information regarding drugs activity in their local area is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101.
