MORE than 80 homes will benefit from modern interior upgrades and improvement works after Karbon Homes appointed Esh Construction to deliver a programme of maintenance.

In a contract worth £746,000, properties located in Northumberland, Newcastle, County Durham, Tees Valley, and North Yorkshire will receive kitchen and bathroom replacements, and full electrical re-wires. Work is set to begin in the coming weeks.

Andrew Harrow, Commercial Manager at Esh Construction, said: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with Karbon Homes on their latest investment programme to maintain and improve existing homes.

“The delivery of internal refurbishment and maintenance was significantly impacted due to the pandemic and the team continues to work hard to manage the additional challenges faced. We look forward to getting work underway safely in the coming weeks.”

Karbon Homes announced a major programme of planned maintenance across its 30,000-strong housing stock earlier this year. David Milburn, Head of Investment at Karbon Homes, said: “We are committed to improving the lives of our customers and by investing in our existing homes, ensuring they are modern and good quality. We are looking forward to seeing this latest investment programme being delivered.”
