NORTH Yorkshire police are urging two men to come forward after one was punched and the other was stamped on in an assault in Scarborough.

According to police, the incident happened at 3.20am on October 17 on Newborough in Scarborough where a male suspect assaulted two men.

One of the victims was punched and thrown to the floor and the other was punched several times, thrown to the floor and stamped on.

Officers say they are keen to speak to the two victims so they can make further enquiries into the incident.

Police are asking if you were assaulted in Scarborough in the early hours of Sunday to please contact PC Amy Milner at North Yorkshire Police.
