DARLINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL
FROM fine dining gourmets to takeaway connoisseurs, there’s something for everyone during Darlington’s upcoming OctoberFEAST.
Restaurants, cafes, pubs, takeaways, and street food stalls are joining forces with Love Darlo to deliver an exciting and mouth-watering programme of digital content to showcase the best food and drink the town has to offer.
The OctoberFEAST online campaign will feature exclusive behind-the-scenes peeks into Darlington’s vast and varied cuisine, including interviews with expert chefs, appearances by well-known food bloggers, and chances to win some special prizes!
Katie Greenwood, town centre partnership officer, said: “We’ve launched OctoberFEAST to highlight what an amazing variety of food and drink we have available in Darlington. Our town has such an incredible range of restaurants, cafes, and bars, there’s something for everyone.
“Our hospitality industry took a massive hit because of Covid, and now is the perfect time to help it get back on its feet, while enjoying some fantastic menus all over town.
“We have more options than ever now – it really says something about what a special place Darlington is that we actually came out of lockdown with more businesses than we went in with, since we had several new venues open during the crisis!”
Local independent businesses taking part in the campaign include Uno Momento, The Hole in the Walk, Estabulo, Falafel Fella, Fit Fresh, and Angels Cut.
Special content will be released via the Love Darlo Facebook page at www.facebook.com/LoveDarloUK, including videos, limited-time offers, and chances to win a prize or two!
Anyone sampling Darlington’s culinary delights is also encouraged to share their experience online using the hashtag #OctoberFEAST.
“We’re really very lucky to have such a staggering amount of choice in Darlington,” katie added.
“Now is the perfect chance to come down, enjoy a wonderful meal or drink with friends, and catch up on everything we missed out on over the last year.”
