Police are appealing after a fail-to-stop collision whereby a 15-year-old female cyclist suffered injuries.

The incident happened on Tower St/Riverside Road in Stockton around 9:20pm on Friday, October 15.

The girl fell from the bike after the collision and was left in the road with a bruised back and a broken thumb. She received treatment at the University Hospital of North Tees.

The vehicle did not stop at the scene.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or may have further information is asked to contact PC Daniel Waugh from the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit, on the non-emergency number 101, quoting incident number 176660.
