POLICE are appealing for information after a "serious" assault in Darlington on Thursday.
Durham Constabulary want to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident at the Travellers Rest pub, in West Auckland Road, Cockerton, just after 8pm where a man was left with substantial facial injuries.
A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm and is currently in custody.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident but has not already given their details to police.
