A POP-UP vaccination clinic will appear in Darlington town centre on Saturday, offering first, second and booster Covid jabs.

The clinic will be a walk-in, meaning that no appointment is necessary, and have Pfizer on offer for first, second and booster doses from 9am until 5pm.

Since August, over 1,000 Covid vaccinations have been provided in the town centre by NHS pop-up clinics, including most recently on Darlington’s vaccination bus for the Arts Festival.

Saturday’s pop-up clinic will once again be staffed by the NHS vaccination team from the Darlington Arena Vaccination Centre.

Anyone attending the clinic for their second dose has been warned to ensure it has been at least eight weeks since their first and anyone attending for their booster must ensure it has been 182 days since their second dose of any Covid vaccine.

Councillor Kevin Nicholson, cabinet member for health and housing at Darlington Borough Council, said: “We’re pleased to be able to provide the NHS our vaccination bus for another town centre pop-up clinic, which will make getting a first, second or booster dose even easier for eligible residents and visitors.

“Previous pop-ups in the town centre have been a fantastic success, resulting in over 1,000 vaccinations in total being administered during events such as the Pride Weekender, Food Festival and Arts Festival.

“We urge everyone who is eligible for a vaccination to visit the pop-up clinic."
