A MOTORCYCLIST was taken to hospital following a collision with another biker.

The incident happened in Thornaby, near Stockton, at about 11.45pm last night.

Police say the collision at the junctions of Thornaby Road and Allison Avenue, at Teesside Industrial Estate, involved two motorcyclists.

On police arrival, one motorcyclist had made off from the scene.

A 28-year-old man was taken to James Cook University Hospital with leg injuries and he remains there while receiving treatment.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward. 

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or anyone who may have further information, CCTV or dash cam footage, is asked to contact Sergeant Sara Allison from the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on the non-emergency number 101, quoting incident number 174330.
