A KFC has opened its doors in a brand new Teesside location and has brought with it 30 new jobs.

The new restaurant which is based at Units 4 and 5 Roseberry Parade is open for business from today, Wednesday, October 13.

The new restaurant has created 30 new jobs in the local community and is still welcoming applications for those keen to join the team.

The Northern Echo:

The restaurant was given the go-ahead by Redcar and Cleveland Council back in July under the condition that it closed at 11pm to keep noise disturbance to a minimum.

Health concerns were also raised with rising child obesity levels in the area.

However, KFC has pledged to make nutritional improvements across their menu, and have committed to removing 20 per cent of calories per serving by 2025.

Members of the public are being invited to get their hands on the nation’s favourite fried chicken, available now for dine-in and takeaway, including via mobile ordering.

The Northern Echo:

KFC also operate a restaurant on Redcar’s High Street East, which is temporarily closed.

Carolann Denne, for QFM Group said: “It’s great to be opening the doors of our new Redcar Roseberry site.

"We love Redcar and our commitment to the Teesside area is, as shown by this project, unflappable.

"We’re thrilled to be bringing new jobs to the area and can’t wait for you all to meet the team.”
