A BANNED motorist caught driving dangerously with cannabis and cocaine in his system will be sentenced this month for a string of motoring offences.

Toby Boyes, 25, was already disqualified from driving when North Yorkshire Police caught him driving on Boroughbridge Road in Ripon on April 13, 2021.

He was found to have 225 ugl of cocaine in his blood; more than five times the specified limit of 40ugl.

Boyes also had 2.7 ugl of cannabis in his system, exceeding the specified limit of 2ugl.

Along with the two drug driving charges, Boyes, of Windsor Way, Northallerton, was also charged with driving while disqualified, driving without insurance and dangerous driving.

He pleaded guilty to all five offences before North Yorkshire Magistrates sitting at Harrogate Magistrates’ Court on October 7.

The multiple charges were deemed too serious to be dealt with by magistrates and Boyes is due to be sentenced at York Crown Court on October 28.

He is disqualified from driving in the period leading up to his sentencing date.
