THE opening date of an impressive new golf attraction - complete with three cocktail bars - has been revealed as tickets are now available.

Bosses have today confirmed when the new Junkyard Golf Club attraction will open in Newcastle City Centre after months in the making.

The new attraction, which is claimed will be the "coolest" experience in the city, is set to make its debut in the region on Wednesday, November 24.

Meanwhile tickets have today (Monday) gone on sale, which bosses have anticipated will sell out quickly as demand has soared.

The Northern Echo:

With three nine-hole crazy golf courses, complete with scrapyard slides, wrecked car parts, circus 'freaks' and jungle bathtubs, the venue is among just six in the UK.

Over the years, the brand has become quite the success with venues also in Liverpool and Oxford continuing to prove a hit with tourists, residents and visitors.

Sophie-Larissa Houghton of Junkyard Golf Club said: “Newcastle tickets just went on sale, and we are so excited.

"We are one step closer to opening our doors and welcoming the people of North East to party with us for crazy golf, cocktails and epic beats.

The Northern Echo:

"We also have some surprises in store so make sure you connect with us on socials as we will be running some mega competitions and sharing some big news.”

The new attraction, which will open on Newgate Street, has said the bars will be open to everyone, playing golf or not and will serve up cocktails and tuck-shop treats.

Revealing a wave of new cocktails, it said party drinks including “Freaky Tiki”, “Disco Frisco” and “Bubblegum Sunset” will debut at the venue.

In recent weeks, the attraction has also started recruitment with a number of jobs still available.

Prices start at £8.50 for tickets and more information - including bookings - are available by clicking here.
