A 21-YEAR-old man has been arrested on suspicion of three counts of robbery.

The alleged incidents happened yesterday (Sunday) at the Toby Carvery on Marton Road, Beechwood Convenience store and Broughton Avenue, near The Viking Public House, Easterside.

A man is alleged to have made threats with a weapon described as a knife and demanded money during the incidents.

The man remains in police custody at this time and enquiries are ongoing.

Anyone who may have information or is a witness is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting incident number 171871.
