MORE than £100,000 worth of heroin has been seized from a property in Darlington.

The operation was carried out in Mossbank Grove, Darlington, last night and a 32-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident.

A spokesperson for Durham Police said a large quantity of drugs and a suspected stolen car was seized by officers.

Amar Majid, of Belle Vue Grove, Middlesbrough, was charged with possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.

He also faces charges of handling stolen goods and driving while disqualified.

The 32-year-old appeared at Peterlee Magistrates’ Court today.

Majid has been remanded until November 5.
