The Orangery café and shop are at the heart of the village with an independent resident-run library and an art studio close by. The popular community allotments also feature a resident-built barbecue and pizza oven used for social gatherings in the summer.

Middleton Hall Retirement Village is more than just a place to retire, it is a place to thrive in a supportive community said Managing Director Suzanne Graham.

“Research has shown that people living in retirement communities are healthier and more independent and require reduced levels of health and care support,” she added.

“Everyone who lives here is supported to live their best lives and we prize helping residents to live as independently as they can above everything.

“From using the gym for the first time to getting involved with the numerous activities and events that take place, people are encouraged and enabled to lead active lives, which has very positive knock-on effects on health and well-being.”
