A BODY has been found in the search for a missing man from County Durham.
Michael Byrne had been reported as missing from Consett.
The 53-year-old had been last seen at about 11.30am on Saturday.
Police confirmed this afternoon that a body had been found in the search.
His death is not being treated as suspicious.
A spokesperson for Durham Police said: "The death is not being treated as suspicious, and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
"Our thoughts are with Michael’s friends and family, and we'd like to thank everyone who assisted in the search."
