Detectives are appealing for information as they continue to investigate an incident in Lawrence Street yesterday, September 14.

Police were called at 9.07am to reports of an incident involving a number of males where it appeared a weapon was being used. Officers, including armed response officers, attended immediately.

In total four men (aged 43, 28, 28 and 17) were arrested on suspicion of assault and have now been released on conditional bail.

Two men (aged 25 and 31) continue to receive hospital treatment following this incident – their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening and both men are in a stable condition.

Detectives are continuing their investigation and would like to reassure the public there is no one outstanding they want to speak to in connection with this matter at this time. Police will continue to include this area in their regular patrols.

Anyone who hasn’t already spoken to the police and has information that may assist our investigation is asked to call 101, reference 155568. This may include sharing CCTV or dashcam footage.
