POLICE are appealing for information after a report of robbery in Middlesbrough in which an electric bike was stolen.

The incident happened between 3.15pm and 3.40pm on Saturday, September 4 in a wooded area off Cranswick Drive, Middlesbrough, near to an area known locally as ‘Devil’s Bridge’.

A biker reported that he was approached by a man with a weapon, believed to be an air rifle or BB gun. The man demanded he got off the bike, before making off on it towards Trinity College.

The man is described as a white male in his mid-20s, wearing a blue puffer jacket, black snood and dark coloured bottoms.

Officers are investigating and are asking anyone with information on the reported incident, or information about the whereabouts of the bike, to come forward by calling 101, quoting 149433, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
