NORTH Yorkshire police arrested a 17 year-old on Saturday September 4 in connection with two police officers being assaulted.

The incident reportedly happened at 9.10pm on Friday September 3 in Eastborough when officers were responding to a report of a 17 year-old boy missing from his home.

According to police the boy has been released under investigation as enquiries continue.

Police believe that there is some mobile phone footage of the incident circulating on social media and officers have asked anyone with footage, or anyone who witnessed the incident, to get in touch.

The force has asked people to dial Dial 101, press 1 and pass information to the force control room, quoting reference number 12210194736.
