NORTH Yorkshire Police have issued an appeal after a man entered a Leyburn Co-Op and took a "quantity" of items without paying.

Police say the incident happened at the Co-Op on the Market Place at 11.05am on Thursday July 8 when a man entered the store and took a “quantity” of items without paying for them.

The force has now issued CCTV of a man they would like to speak to as they believe he will have important information that could assist the investigation.

Police ask that if anyone recognises the man pictured, or have any information that could assist the investigation, to contact michael.smith@northyorkshire.police.uk.

People can also call North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2, and ask for Michael Smith.
