POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a fail to stop collision in Middlesbrough.

The incident happened around 8.35pm yesterday (Tuesday) as a 31-year-old male pedestrian walked along Park Lane.

At the junction of Errol Street, it is reported that a small black vehicle collided with the man, which knocked him to the ground resulting in a fracture to his left hip.

The man was taken to James Cook University Hospital for treatment.

Officers are appealing to any witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage or CCTV which may assist their investigation.
