NEW noticeboards have been installed in Stokesley as part of the town council's ‘Bounce Back’ initiative to help local businesses recover from the Covid pandemic.

The boards will house the recently designed town map which references the names of the town centre businesses including those tucked away in places such as Tuns Wynd, Bridge Road and College Square.

Hambleton District Council’s Vibrant Market Towns initiative awarded Stokesley Town Council a grant of £2,983 to help purchase the boards.

Councillor Peter Wilkinson, Deputy Leader of Hambleton District Council said: “It’s great to see the Vibrant Market Towns Team supporting projects that will help our local businesses recover and grow especially after the challenges they have had to face over last 18 months.

"We need to show our support to the local traders and encourage both residents and visitors to use our market towns. Hopefully the new boards will be a big help.”

A stand-alone notice board is on display on Manorial Lands and another board can be found in the High Street Bus stop to encourage those arriving by public transport to know what the market town of Stokesley has to offer.
