THEY'VE been singing in the rain at the Hardwick Festival in Sedgefield.

Despite the glum weather, spirits remained high as another terrific line-up entertained the soggy but spirited crowds.

Acts on day one of the weekend music-fest included Maximo Park, Rebecca Ferguson, and the local favourite Andrew Cushin - with the mighty Nile Rodgers and Chic as the headline act.

Another damp day is expected on Sunday, when acts include the remarkable Elvana - a Nirvana tribute act fronted by an Elvis Presley impersonator.

Embrace, Razorlight and Rag 'N' Bone Man are also scheduled to appear.

And if these pictures are anything to go by, the fans are likely to lap it up again.
