A COMPANY raised more than £8,000 for a County Durham cancer charity with one of its most successful ever charity golf days.
eCommerce specialist Visualsoft held the event at The Belfry Hotel and Resort, near Birmingham, last month on aid of the Solan Connor Fawcett Family Cancer Trust, based in Spennymoor.
A number of companies supported the event including payments provider Klarna, which for the third year running were platinum sponsors, as well as Trustpilot, Loqate, Opayo, FACT-Finder and Huboo.
David Duke, digital director at Visualsoft, said: “We had a fantastic day and raised more money than expected for a great cause that is close to our hearts. We could not have done it without our sponsors and without everyone who attended and took part in the day.”
Charity founder Mark Solan said: “It’s always humbling to see the effort that people put into raising money for the charity. The money raised will go towards helping those affected by cancer.
"Our dream is to expand our network across the country to help more families in need of support. Companies like Visualsoft and events like these put us one step closer to achieving this goal.”
The Solan Connor Fawcett Family Cancer Trust was launched to help individuals and families in County Durham and Darlington who have been affected by cancer.
