THE following cases were heard at Peterlee and Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Courts.

SIMON THOMAS WILSON, 36, of The Brooms, Ouston, was caught in possession of a stun gun between April 2, 2020 and April 5, 2020. Wilson was fined £150 and ordered to pay a £32 victim surcharge.

GRAEME MYERS, 44, of Southburn Rise, Sacriston, indicated a plea of guilt after he was caught with an adapted pair of scissors on July 11, 2021. He was given a four-month prison sentence suspended for 12 months.

NATHAN REECE HANLEY was caught with a machete in his hometown of Stanley on May 31. The 29-year-old was given an 18-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months and made to pay a £128 victim surcharge. The Engels Terrace resident was also made to pay £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
