DARLINGTON'S award-winning Pease Pudding Market returns on Thursday evening for the first time this year.

Food, drink and entertainment are the order of the evening as independent traders from around the region flock to Market Square in the town centre.

Speciality stalls heaving with fresh produce and artisan bakes are being prepared for the launch, with a wide range of food and drink on offer.

A post on the market's Facebook page read: "An open air and safe environment for friends and families to get together and enjoy some of the best street food our Pease Pudding event has to offer."

A DJ from the local music podcast The Workhouse will provide live music at the event.
With support and input from Darlington Borough Council and the Town Centre Events Team, the Pease Pudding Night Markets has grown from strength to strength over the year.

The innovative night-time market that launched in 2019 scooped a prestigious national award - the ‘Best Small Speciality Market’ from the National Association of British Markets Authorities (NABMA).
