A LOCAL charity is desperately appealing for funds after the hole left by the coronavirus pandemic.
Teesside Hospice is facing some tough times ahead, with a gap in funding of over £500,000.
They had to close many of its charity shops last year.
The hospice anticipates in the next couple months, even weeks, there is going to be an increased demand for their services.
A direct result of people not accessing the care they need, or being diagnosed quickly enough, they are seeing more people in distress.
Especially ones with complex care needs, who are struggling and urgently need our support.
Last year, Teesside Hospice cared for 1,759 local people and held over 8,000 appointments.
During this time, Teesside Hospice also ensured the safety of everyone as a priority and worked closely with the NHS ensuring that everyone at the end of life receives the care they need.
