PLANS have been submitted for the erection of two houses on a piece of land in Newton Aycliffe.
The land, which is adjacent to Mill Lane in Redworth, Newton Aycliffe, is currently used as a residential curtilage and garden space but could be the site of two homes with gardens and amenity space.
According to the Planning Statement, the “application site provides sufficient space for two houses and associated parking provision whilst retaining appropriate separation distance.”
The statement continues to say that the “proposed development will enable a small scale infill development site within Redworth, providing additional housing to help meet demand.
“It is considered the development will not detract from the character and appearance of the settlement or compromise the character of the open countryside to the East.
“The proposed development should be considered acceptable and approved without delay.”
The application can still be viewed and commented on via the Darlington Borough Council website.
