NEWCASTLE UNITED will kick off the 2021-22 Premier League season with a home game against West Ham United.

It is the second season in a row that the Magpies start with a game against the Hammers, with Steve Bruce's side having claimed a 2-0 win at the London Satdium on the opening day of last season.

After hosting West Ham this time around, Newcastle then travel to Aston Villa for their opening away game of the new campaign, before rounding off August with a home fixture against Southampton.

September features a trip to Old Trafford to face Manchester United, while December looks a tricky month with Newcastle facing an extremely testing Christmas period.

After heading to Liverpool on December 15, the Magpies host Manchester City on December 18 before Manchester United head to Gallowgate on Boxing Day.

The year ends with a trip to Everton on December 28, and Newcastle face a long New Year's trip as they are due to play Southampton at St Mary's on New Year's Day.

Three of Newcastle's final three fixtures look tricky - Liverpool (home), Man City (away) and Arsenal (home) - and the season will end with a trip to Turf Moor to face Burnley on May 22.
