DURHAM University’s global reputation and research strengths have been solidified once again with QS World University Rankings 2022 placing Durham in 82nd position in the world.

With 145 global universities entering the highly prestigious rankings for the first time this year, Durham has again cemented its place as one of the world’s leading universities.

The new rankings see Durham move up by four places from its previous 86th position in the world.

The rankings place Durham 54th for global Employer Reputation.

More than 75,000 leading employers worldwide ranked universities, signifying the high employability prospects of Durham graduates.

Durham is ranked 96th in the world for citations per faculty.

This symbolises the strong impact and quality of work produced by Durham researchers and academics.

The international student ranking for Durham has also risen by 11 places, to 103rd position.

This element looks at the attractiveness of universities to prospective international students. Durham University is highly placed as a top institution in this category and greatly cherished by students globally.

In addition to the QS Rankings, Durham University has moved up to fifth place from seventh in the UK in the Complete University Guide 2022 rankings, also announced this week.

The QS rankings assessed 1,673 institutions worldwide and the rankings are based on academic and employer reputation, research citations and the productivity and impact of the work published by academics, among other factors.

Durham is consistently ranked as one of the world’s leading universities.

It is ranked 25th in the Times Higher Education (THE) International Universities Rankings and was placed 87th in the THE’s Global Impact Rankings 2021 for overall contribution to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Durham is also regularly ranked in top ten universities in the UK.
