EMERGENCY services have been called to a fatal fire in a coastal town and are now investigating.
Police were called to an address on Wheatacre Close, Marske, by Cleveland Fire Brigade colleagues at around 2.15am today, Wednesday, June 9 where they were dealing with a house fire.
On arrival, a man from inside the address was discovered deceased. He is yet to be formally identified however a 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and he is in custody.
A number of officers remain at the scene and in the immediate vicinity conducting inquiries. Anyone with information is asked to contact Cleveland Police via the 101 number quoting Ref 093555.
