A 41-year-old was stabbed in the stomach in Teesside yesterday afternoon.
Police are appealing for information as detectives investigate an incident in which a 41-year-old man received an abdominal injury.
It happened at around 4.30pm on yesterday (Sunday) afternoon at the junction of Gresham Road and Linthorpe Road in Middlesbrough.
The suspect - who was dressed in black and had his face covered with either a baseball cap or balaclava - ran onto Albert Terrace.
He is then thought to have turned left onto Wilton Street.
Officers also believe he left the scene on the front of a bike, ridden by one of a group of males on cycles.
The man was taken to James Cook University Hospital where he was treated for a minor injury consistent with a stab wound and then released.
No arrests have currently been made in connection with the incident and inquiries are on-going. Police are asking any witnesses, including anyone with CCTV or dash cam, to contact Cleveland Police via the 101-number quoting Ref 92040.
