A NORTH-Yorkshire artist has created a mural covering the history of the local area.
The Mural, which can be seen in The Eston Community Association Garden in the centre of Eston, was created by local artist Philip Meadows.
The idea for the artwork came to him while he was bag piping for the Eston remembrance parade in 2019.
Mr Meadows said: "I work as a professional artist and have lived in Eston all my life, to volunteer something for my town is a great pleasure.
"The mural location was decided on and permission from Michael Poole estate agents was happily granted.
"Michael became a great supporter and I was left free rein in the design and decided something covering the general history of Eston with reference to the wars was required.
"The mural has been well-received and has created a great community focus. It was a great thing to part of and a true community project in every sense."
