THREE people have been remanded in custody following a violent brawl outside a primary school.

Ryan Anderson, Robert Lainton and John Sullivan made separate appearances at Teesside Magistrates’ Court today following the incident on Friday morning at Berwick Hill Primary School, Middlesbrough.

Detectives investigating the incident at the school and an earlier alleged aggravated burglary initially arrested six people in connection with the incident with three being released without charge over the weekend.

Anderson, 18, of Marton Road, Middlesbrough, is charged with aggravated burglary, dangerous driving, attempted robbery, possession of a bladed article, burglary, theft of motor vehicle, driving with no licence, driving with no insurance, possession of an offensive weapon, criminal damage, failure to provide a specimen.

Lainton, 27, of Chertsey Avenue, Pallister Park, Middlesbrough, is charged with aggravated burglary, theft of motor vehicle and possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place.

Sullivan, 28, of Langridge Crescent in Middlesbrough, is charged with aggravated burglary.

None of the three defendants entered a plea to any of the charges and they were all remanded in custody until they appear at Teesside Crown Court on June 14.
