A FURTHER 105 new cases of Covid-19 have been reported in the North-East and North Yorkshire.
The latest figures, released on Saturday afternoon, saw zero cases reported in Darlington.
Across the UK, a further 2,027 cases were reported.
The Government said a further seven people had died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 as of Saturday, bringing the UK total to 127,675.
Separate figures published by the UK’s statistics agencies show there have been 152,000 deaths registered in the UK where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate.
NHS England says it will now only be publishing daily reported deaths in hospitals on weekdays.
A breakdown of the number of cases in the region since the pandemic began are:

Redcar and Cleveland: 9,366 was 9,365; an increase of 1
South Tyneside: 11,415 was 11,411, an increase of 4
Stockton: 16,035 was 16,027, an increase of 8
Sunderland: 22,181 was 22,178, an increase of 3
York: 12,342 was 12,339, an increase of 3
