A MAN has been arrested after Cleveland Police discovered a four-room cannabis farm at a house on Teesside. 

Hartlepool Neighbourhood Policing Team executed a drugs warrant in the town’s Kimberley Street just before 8am yesterday, May 13. 

A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of a drugs offence, he remains in custody as enquiries continue.

After gaining access to the property police found a suspected cannabis farm with around 100 mature plants, spanning four rooms.

Officers said: "A utilities team ensured the electricity supply was safe at the property. Cannabis farms can put neighbouring properties at risk of fire due to unsafe adaptation of electricity supplies.
