A TEENAGER was arrested on suspicion of stealing a motor vehicle after being stopped following a police chase.
Cleveland Police said the Nissan vehicle reportedly failed to stop for Stockton neighbourhood officers on Tuesday evening.
Following a short pursuit, the vehicle reportedly crashed on Palmerston Court in Thornaby.
A13-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and has been released pending enquiries.
The vehicle was seized for having no insurance.
Enquiries are ongoing.

In a separate incident, Cleveland Police said it seized another vehicle in Hartlepool at the weekend.
A Saab vehicle was stopped on Raby Road and a large amount of class A drugs and drugs paraphernalia was seized.
The 52-year-old male driver was arrested on suspicion of possessing class A drugs with intent to supply. He has been released pending enquiries and the vehicle and drugs were seized.
