POLICE investigating a report of indecent exposure have released the image of a man they would like to identify.

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: "Shortly after 3.30pm on April 16, we received a report of a man walking around without any trousers or underwear in the Hebburn Riverside Park area.

"The man in question is not reported to have approached anybody but officers were deployed to the area in a bid to locate him. However, the man was no longer present.

"It followed a similar report in the same location one week earlier, on April 9, where a man matching the same description was seen riding a bicycle without wearing any trousers or underwear.

"On this occasion, the man briefly spoke to a member of the public before riding away.

An investigation was launched into both incidents and officers have now identified a man they would like to speak to in connection with their enquiries.

He is believed to have been in the area at the time and could have information that can assist the investigation.

The man, or anyone who thinks they know him, is asked to contact police via the ‘Tell Us Something’ page of their website or by calling 101 quoting log 700 160421.
