THE Duke and Duchess of Cambridge William and Kate descended on the North-East this week and Northern Echo photographers Sarah Caldecott and Stuart Boulton caught some magical moments during their visit.
The royal couple flew into Teesside International Airport on Tuesday to carry out two royal engagements in the North-East - their first official in-person engagements away from London since their royal train tour in December last year.
They first visited Manor Farm in Little Stainton near Darlington, before heading to Durham to spend time with members of the Cheesy Waffles Project in Durham.
The couple, who celebrate their tenth wedding anniversary tomorrow, were all smiles throughout their visit and no doubt left all those who interacted with them with lifelong memories of when the royals came to County Durham.
