A COLLEGE is giving away laptops to students who start university level courses this summer.

New College Durham has introduced a new rewards package designed to help students get their studies off to the best possible start.

From September 2021, all new students starting a full-time higher education course will be given a free laptop, along with £100 to spend on study material at the college’s on-site shop so students can stock up on any books, stationery or art materials they need for their course.

A free welcome pack also includes an A4 notepad, a pen, a highlighter and post-it notes.

All new higher education students can also claim a free TOTUM student discount card worth £14.99 which gives access to offers on food and essentials, tech, travel and fashion.

Vice Principal Megan Nichols said: “We want to help our university level students get ready to study.

"Hopefully, our rewards package will make sure our students can get the most out of their time with us and may give more students the opportunity to access our fantastic range of degree level courses.”

New College Durham offers a varied range of degrees, HNCs/HNDs, higher apprenticeships and professional qualifications in a wide selection of subject areas.
